- Assembly & Installation: Fitting together parts such as shafts, bearings, couplings, gears, valves, and pumps.
- Alignment & Adjustment: Ensuring components are correctly positioned for smooth operation (e.g., shaft alignment in rotating machinery).
- Maintenance & Repairs: Inspecting machines, replacing worn parts, and performing preventative and corrective maintenance.
- Fabrication Support: Reading engineering drawings, marking out materials, drilling, tapping, cutting, and using hand or power tools to shape and assemble parts.
- Testing & Inspection: Checking tolerances, clearances, and performance to meet specifications.
